The owner is very arrogant and rude! Made an appointment on their automated system at 1 pm. Arrived at 12:45 - I believe his name is Mike said I’m going to lunch leave your car and I’ll send an estimate. So rude! NO THANK YOU!

Good morning, and it seems as you didn't understand what I was trying to tell you (which is that we send our estimates to our clients prior to initializing any work). You very generally stated an oil change and tuneup. What we then replied, was that we would look up your maintenance schedule, and do an inspection while we did the oil change (after our lunch time). You decided to take your car, as you couldn't wait for an estimate upon completion of our lunch hour. Thus, we wish you the best somewhere else - as we don't do work unless authorized in writing and/or electronically by all of our clients (new and existing). Have yourself a good day Linda! Dont come here! Trashy owner who was two hours late and couldn't care less. He was out at a party the night before so couldnt get to work on time and open his business. At least thats what he text me was the reason... He treated me like complete garbage when trying to ask questions and have an adult conversation to better understand the situation. Making it seem like it was my fault becuase I seemed a little on edge since I got there. Like I explained, I'm from Alaska where there are no smog checks, this is a new experience for me and I have no clue what's going on. You were TWO HOURS LATE! And you didnt even do the oil change. My car just sat there waiting while you did 3-4 other smog checks. I got screwed over becuase you cant be a responsible adult! Anyone would have been a little upset, especially if they had plans to drive all the way up to San Francisco after (what was supposed to be) an8am appt. My entire weekend was canceled because of this. I work a corporate job and cannot do these things during the weekday so I plan my weekends out for appts. Not to mention I had schd this over two weeks in advance. Sure doesn't matter to you guys, trust me I know. But you have to realize that it's not okay to be two hours late for an appt. and expect things to be rainbows and sunshine. Just so awful! I dont understand people like this... be caution when doing business with them.

Good afternoon, and well - as I texted you this morning (returning from my wife's birthday celebration yesterday evening from Rosarito Beach, Baja California, Mexico). I texted you this morning, seeing if you could move your appointment from 8 am to 10 am - while I crossed border this morning ~ 7 am (and again, you could have easily just said no, but you agreed to come-in at 10 am / as I had mentioned we could do the smog check and oil change for ~ $120 out the door on your vehicle). You arrived 'super-irritated' for your appointment at 10 am. We were able to finish your smog within 10-15 mins of you arriving while you complained about this and that regarding California smog checks, and the other... At 10:35 am (while engine cooled down) - and we attended other clients for their smog checks we noticed you getting even more 'aggravated' and then calling a staff member a P.O.S. repeatedly (we decided on cancelling the oil change and just having you pay for the oil change and decline to do further business with you). Thus, we reserve the right to refuse service to clients who are disrespectful to any of our staff; and well, your repeated P.O.S. statements caught on camera while we still would have had the oil change and smog check done within the hour are not actions we condone nor accept at our facility. Have yourself a good weekend, and thanks for stopping-by; but again, we prefer to not do business with you in the future. Sincerely, Mike Del Toro @ D&S Automotive P.S. Even if it would have taken the full hour to get your oil change done and a smog check done (that's still really good time to be able to get those two done within the hour). Most of our clients vouch for that.

My partner and I decided to give this place a try as we both needed a service done to our cars. We made an appt on the same day/time. My partner needed his a/c fixed and I needed new brakes and rotors. My partners a/c ended up being a much more serious issue than we thought (compressor went out, worst case scenario..noooo we are so bummed!) but Mike informed us on how the system works and encouraged us to shop around, get quotes from other places, etc. It was really cool he didn’t pressure us and explained why this happens. My parts for my car had to be ordered and even though some of the wrong parts were delivered (beyond Mikes control, but can be common since I drive a Fiat, parts can be tricky, unfortunately) Mike still was able to get my car done super fast and a great price! (The lowest quote we got after calling so many places that were quoting me double) Mike also communicated the whole time through texting, so we were never in the dark about what was going on. I highly recommend this place. Mike is so knowledgeable, friendly, fair and communicative. He just has a way of putting you at ease.

The service here is very friendly and they are very skilled. This time I went for a smog check and was only there 15 minutes. They were super fast and very nice. In the past, they worked on my brakes and something was stuck so they carefully worked on it to make sure they didn’t break anything while getting it unstuck. I would recommend D&S 100%!!

100% recommend, my aunt called for me because my ac wasn’t working and he did the ac checkup to see what was wrong with it, my aunt has said hopefully he takes u in today because he usually does appointments, he was able to take me in and figure it out gave me what was wrong with it I got it fixed and went to recharge today and went so good took like 30 mins I expected longer really fast and nice guy. My ac is now at 100% and gets super cold.

Within 10 minutes of driving my O2 sensor was happy again and was able to pass the smog check. I can’t thank you enough!!! I’ve been dealing with this stress for 6 months and you saved the day. I know where to go if I ever need repairs.

Called D&S asking for a price on title transfer smog check. The gentleman who answered my call was professional & told me since they have to pay a credit card fee it's a little more, but if I pay cash it will be more economical. I showed up & he performed the smog test, I was out of there in 15 minutes. They have automated systems for electric receipts. I will use them for future service on my vehicles

Mike was condescending and defiant. As I received messages about my car repairs I asked and He would not address my questions about his automated texts on my Range Rover. He said to ignore whatever I received and “trust” he did the work. I would never go back to this shop.

I called Friday to book a diagnostic and was specifically told over the phone that to book an appointment first thing for Sunday morning at 9 on the only booking system so i did, It is Sunday and the place is closed at 9:10 so I call and am answered with the most unprofessional attitude that he’s closed and not taking cars today. So I re explained to the guy since it was the same one I talked to on Friday that he was the one that told me to book this time slot for Sunday and word by word “ to re clarify I’m not taking care today anyways i got backed up” that’s not my problem you have a booking system and can’t even go by it; then learn to communicate with your customers who make the drive and time out of their day to show up to be left hanging. 👎

Mike was rude and disrespectful because he thinks he knows it all and shut me up instead of listening to the concerns and addressing it. He needs to have patience.

First of all, they’re open on a Sunday and super affordable. Especially if you’re willing to pay cash. Once I was there, I was in and out within 20 minutes for a smog check. During the time, while I waited, the technician was super accommodating and gave me multiple updates regarding the status of my car. Unfortunately, it is rare to be treated with respect as a female at an auto shop and I felt like the customer service here was beyond superb. I believe the technicians name was Michael. I’ve never done this before, but I actually texted my family group chat to recommend this shop of my own accord. I’m not affiliated with the shop in any way shape or form.

They are very communicative through the process. I had an oil leak and inquired about pricing. They do not oversell or push issues/ fixtures to make more money. They actually recommended it would probably be better to consider a new/ used vehicle (which I already was considering).

My car was overheating. I found this shop online scheduled an appointment with them via their website. Got a text message confirming my appointment for 8am. I get to the shop at 7:58am. Not open. Ok. I wait & wait. Refresh Google now it’s saying they don’t open til 9am. I continue to wait as 9am is approaching it now says they don’t open till 930am. I continue to wait. Right at 930am I pull in & a guy comes out and immediately says I didn’t confirm your appointment. Why would you come & your appointment was not confirmed?? I’m super confused cause he’s being passive aggressive and I tell him I received a text confirming he says no & tells me to have a “good day” as he waves me off. I couldn’t believe what was happening I got back in my car and left. Maybe cause I was black I don’t know. I found a much nicer mechanic down the road!

I thought it was going to be like every other mechanic shop but this place was 100% completely different. The mechanic is very respectful, honest and tells you exactly what’s going on with your vehicle after inspection. As you get there you are greeted and offered something to drink while you wait. It is an all around great place to be at. I recommend everybody to go and get work done there, plus the price is amazing.

Horrible service. This shop is extremely unprofessional and only has interest in your money. Walked in for a diagnose for my ac on my work truck I let the guy know air would sometimes not blow ac and he said he needed to refill I said theres Freon there it’s just not blowing right. He said he still needed to fill even though I told him I guaranteed Freon there. The guy got very upset and said he didn’t work on junky cars my truck is a 2012 savanna by the way and that I needed to take my business elsewhere. Talked to the bald guy with glasses and he was extremely rude cocky and he unprofessional. Avoid this place they just want your Money.

I had a 9:00 am appointment that I set 3 days prior to have my brakes an rotors fixed. I was sent about 4-5 confirmation emails an text which I confirmed. Day of my appointment I show up at 8:50, shop not open. I wait until about 9:10 an call the business phone number, no one picked up. I called again around 9:30, left a message an text no one ever called or replied. I ended up leaving about 9:45, an had to search around until I found a shop that could fit me in same day since this place was a no show.

Been here in the past for smog test, this time wife's rear brakes needed replacing. 8:00am dropped of wife's car, few hours later I received a text regarding issues regarding rear passenger brake caliper being stuck. During the course of the day I received pictures of the problematic caliper along with possible solutions. Make a long story short, spraying the caliper with penetrating spray and let it sit for an hour released the caliper from the slider. Once the caliper was removed the new brakes were installed. After talking to the mechanic turns out whoever worked on the brakes prior failed to clean and lubricate (antiseize) the slider causing it to seize in place. We greatly appreciate D & S for their honesty, integrity and keeping us abreast of the work in progress, also their prices are very reasonable. The folks from D&S are friendly definitely will be back for our automotive maintenance and repair, you should also.....

Two types of Smog requirements for vehicles, both can be done at this location. I spoke with and got great customer service to check for walk ins or non appointment time lines. I arrived parked in Smog check bay car got hooked up to machine etc then sat in recliner time flew by done. Easy pay methods electronically submitted to DMV. Great service, great price point, all clear instructions. Highly recommend this location return customer for sure.

First initiative was great he was customer friendly and knowledgeable , when I was there a customer rolled in and his dog was laying there and didn't move a potential customer rolled in and got his dog and he went off on the customer and told him get the fvck out and don't come back . It's a business your running out your dog away or train it . 3k into my oil change , engine light came on idleing rough so I reached out he said bring it in when I can ,they were open and it was drizzling and he gave me attitude saying how is it his fault I came 2 months ago . I requested can u just check oil cause my caddi is saying it's low . He asked is it due for a change I said and still with a attitude if u want me to check it come back when it's not raining . I was stunned I replied ok and left . Never went back , took it to a more reliable shop .

This way we could be thorough in inspecting your car and why it could have either lost or consumed the oil. As well as scanning your car during the possible oil change to see if any issues show up when the vehicle is put thru a full vehicle scan. Mike was very open, honest, and timely with his communication. I came in for brake service and he did not try to upsell anything to me. Just gave me a good explanation of how they were going to do the job. Price was very reasonable. I was in a little bit of a time crunch and they were able to accommodate me. No shuttle service or anything like that. Just bring an extra driver or Uber/Lyft. I will be back next time I need any kind of service!

My car was not blowing cold air. Called D&S Automotive, they had me bring it in first thing Saturday morning. About an hour later Mike called me up and said the AC service was complete with no leaks found and now its nice and cold. He told what to look out for and let me know if it needs service within 6 months, he'd waive the AC service fee next time. I think I found my new local mechanic!

These guys are amazing, usually I'm a little skeptical about mechanics, I always feel since I don't know a lot about cars that I'm a good candidate for getting ripped off. First off, these guys were able to see me same day, which almost never happens with mechanics. I went in to D & S thinking my car was on it's last leg and I was going to have to pay $$$$ to get it fixed. Aaron went above and beyond to figure out the issue. He went above and beyond to try and figure out the most cost effective way to fix. To top it off after working with him for weeks he found out that the issue should have been covered under warranty through the dealership (something I wouldn't even have considered, considering the car was 6 years old and had 140,000 miles). It ended up being covered under warranty! Needless to say, I've found my new mechanic for as long as I'm living in the area. Any other mechanic would not have been so honest. These guys are just good people.

Mike from D&S automotive was so helpful! My check engine light had came on while on a trip and had to pull over because my car was losing power. Thankfully D&S automotive was the nearest mechanic near me. I had reached out to see if they were able to service my car right then and there and Mike was so helpful and was able to check out my car that same day and got the issue fixed. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done because we were 2 hours away from home. THANK YOU MIKE!

Do yourself a favor and take your business somewhere else. Safe any headaches and hard earned money. Mike was in all honesty unprofessional and does not care about his customers or overall quality service. Paid $150 for a check engine light diagnostic. He told me he would pin point the problem with my vehicle but the problem is there. He also told me to just go to the dealer to get it fixed and did not issue me a refund. Paid he for nothing becuase he did not deliver upon the service he told me he would perform. I’m sure for basic mechanic work they are ok, but anything that has to deal with the engine, I would advice you to go to the dealer or Al and Lee’s Autocare. The owner Lee was very knowledgeable and did more help for free than the mechanics here.

Great Service! I will recommend D&S to my friends who still live in the surrounding area. I used to live .5 mile from this shop. I now currently reside in Las Vegas & my work starts/stops in SoCal. However, when I was away for a long period of time, my Ram Diesel pickup with Nevada registration expired. I needed a smog before I can renew online from out-of-state. NV DMV approved me to smog in CA. D&S was available same day, NO WAIT, & was less cost than all others in a 10 mile radius. They met me at the door & got me right in. Friendly, courteous, & extremely professional. Honest & straight shooters with me. No BS. I recommend them 100%!

I came here because they have a BYOP sign outside their gate for Brake Pads. I opted for Front and Back work on my car. (Ford Fusion) They also worked on my rotors including installing my BYOP. It's been a week and I'm very pleased with the service. The guys are VERY friendly and Habla Español. I would definitely recommend in the future.
